What does it cost to work with you?

Costs vary drastically from project to project depending on: number of songs, musicians required, studio costs, mixing, mastering, etc. I’m flexible when it comes to budgets so lets chat and see if we can find something that’s fair for everyone.

Can you help me write my songs?

Absolutely! I’ve co-written with many artists over the years. Before starting production we’ll get together to talk about your ideas and then begin writing and composing the songs for your project.

When did you decide you wanted to be a producer?

I first fell in love with production in high school when my band recorded our first EP in a small commercial studio. When it came time to record our sophomore album, I assembled a studio in my parents basement where I was able to first develop skills as a producer and engineer. In 2000, I graduated from high school and moved to Nashville, TN where I attended audio engineering school and began to intern with established producers. Since 2003 I’ve been producing, writing, engineering and mixing music full time.

Do you have your own studio?

Yes in Nashville, TN. It’s outfitted with everything I need to make great sounding records. To keep budgets lean and to keep my listening environment consistent, I generally do 90% of my projects at my personal studio. Instruments like drums, piano, strings, etc. are typically tracked in a larger commercial studio.

What do you love to do when you’re not working?

Spending time with my wife, running, hiking, investing in equities and geeking out on wine.

What inspires you?

Family, nature, music, art, innovation. I typically work reasonable hours because I tend to find most of my inspiration outside of the studio.

How do I know if you’re the best producer/engineer for my project?

If you connect with my musical style & sound while listening to my production sampler, then it’s safe to say you’ll be happy with the outcome of your project. I’d also suggest that we get together at some point and chat a bit so we can get a feel for each others personalities and vision for the project.
